1. Who we are
Nannest is a directory that helps families find maids, nannies, babysitters and domestic helpers, and helps helpers find work. Contact: ssci.eddy@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Helpers: the information you enter in your profile (name, contact details, city, nationality, experience, skills, languages, availability, expected pay, self-declared visa information, references, photos), your account details, and optionally identity documents for verification.
Families and visitors: account details, saved candidates, inquiries you send (name, contact details, message), job posts, and reports you submit.
Everyone: technical data such as a hashed IP address, browser type and pages viewed, used for security, abuse prevention and aggregated analytics.
3. Identity documents – how verification works
Uploading an identity document (Emirates ID, resident ID, passport, national ID or other government-issued ID) is optional. When you upload one:
- It is stored in private storage that is not accessible from the public website.
- Only authorised administrators can view it, through time-limited, access-controlled links. Every access is logged.
- Image metadata (such as GPS location) is removed on upload.
- It is used solely to check that the identity on the document matches your profile. We do not use facial recognition or biometric matching.
- The public only ever sees an “Identity Verified” badge – never the document, its number, or its details.
- Documents are deleted automatically after a retention period (30 days after approval, 14 days after rejection) and immediately when you delete your account.
The badge confirms identity only. It does not mean we verified employment history, references, character, legal or visa status, or qualifications.
4. What is public
Only approved helper profiles are public. A public profile shows your public name, photos, city and general area, nationality, experience, skills, languages, availability, expected pay and introduction. Your exact address, last name, references and identity documents are never public. You choose whether your phone, WhatsApp or email are shown; administrators may limit contact details for safety.
5. How we use data
To operate the directory, review profiles, handle inquiries and reports, send transactional emails (for example when your profile is approved), prevent abuse, and understand how the service is used. We may use AI tools to help you write your introduction, to help our team spot suspicious text, and to interpret search queries. AI never approves identity documents and never publishes profiles – a person always decides.
6. Sharing
We share your contact details with families who contact you through the site, and with service providers who host our servers, database, file storage and email delivery. We do not sell personal data.
7. Your rights
You can edit your profile at any time, change what contact details are public, hide your profile by marking yourself unavailable, and delete your account from your settings. Deleting your account removes your profile from search, deletes your photos and identity documents, and anonymises your account. You can also contact ssci.eddy@gmail.com to access or correct your data.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, role-based access control enforced on the server, rate limiting, audit logging and private storage for sensitive documents. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and local storage to remember saved candidates on your device. We do not use advertising trackers.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on the site.
