Identity verification
Some helpers on Nannest have an Identity Verified badge. Here is exactly what it means – and what it doesn't.
What the badge confirms
- A government-issued identity document (for example an Emirates ID, resident ID, passport or national ID) was uploaded privately by the helper
- A member of our team reviewed the document
- The name and photo on the document match the profile
What it does not cover
- Criminal record or background check
- Employment history or references
- Visa, sponsorship or legal right to work
- Qualifications, training or medical fitness
- Character or suitability for a specific job
Why it is still useful
Knowing that a real person with a matching government ID is behind a profile reduces the risk of fake profiles. It is one signal among several. Families should still interview, check references and see original documents before hiring.
How helpers get verified
- From the dashboard, the helper chooses to verify their identity and uploads clear photos of their document.
- Our team reviews it. If the image is unclear or does not match, we ask for a new one.
- When approved, the badge appears on the profile. Verification can expire and can be revoked if a problem comes to light.
Verification is optional. Not having the badge does not mean anything negative about a helper.
How documents are protected
Identity documents are stored privately, separate from public profile photos. Only authorised administrators who review verifications can open them. They are never shown on the site or shared with families, and they are deleted according to our retention rules. See our privacy policy.
